Aftermarket type B (Pt30Rh–Pt6Rh) thermocouple for the highest-temperature sintering and laboratory furnaces above 1600 °C, where type S sensors exceed their rated range.
Description
This is an aftermarket replacement thermocouple produced by an independent manufacturer. It is compatible with ultra-high-temperature furnace families but is not manufactured by, authorised by or endorsed by any furnace brand.
At sustained temperatures above 1600 °C, type S sensors operate at the edge of their rating. Type B (platinum-30% rhodium / platinum-6% rhodium) offers a higher practical ceiling and excellent stability in this range.
This replacement is supplied as calibrated noble-metal wire with ceramic twin-bore insulation and the connector profile matched to the target furnace family.
