Alumina thermocouple protection sheath
Dense-sintered alumina (99.7 %) twin-bore and single-bore ceramic tubes to protect noble-metal thermocouple wires in sintering furnaces.
Description
Cracked or contaminated insulation tubes are a hidden cause of noble-metal thermocouple failure: flux vapors from zirconia sintering beads migrate into hairline cracks and attack the platinum wire. Replacing the sheath is far cheaper than replacing the whole sensor.
Our tubes are dense-sintered from 99.7 % alumina, gas-tight and thermal-shock resistant. Available in standard outer diameters from 3 mm to 8 mm with one or two bores, cut-to-length on request.
Key features
- 99.7 % Al2O3, gas-tight dense sintered body
- Single-bore and twin-bore versions
- Thermal-shock resistant for repeated furnace cycles
- Cut-to-length service included
